Is it possible to update iPhone 4 running 4.3.2 w/ BB 01.59.00 to iOS 5? w/ Unlock?

Greetings,

I have my SHSH saved within tiny umbrella, but it has been a long time since I have updated my phone for fear I may mess it up and it's been running so nicely.

I am running an iPhone 4 with Version 4.3.1 and BB of 01.59.00 currently. I need it to be unlocked as I use this phone for t-mobile. Has anyone successfully taken an iPhone 4 (with BB 01.59.00) to iOS 5 and had it unlock and work?

I am interested in the process but do not necessarily know how to do this while upgrading.

If anyone could please provide any insight it would be greatly appreciated.

If this topic has already been covered in another post, I did not see it - please just post the link here if you can and I will read through that.

You'll need to use a custom firmware to upgrade to iOS 5 and keep and unlockable baseband. The normal iOS 5 baseband is *not* unlockable at this time. As far as unlocking once you are there, ultrasn0w should work. You should double-check that though; I'm not sure if it is iOS 5 compatible.

You may not know the answer to if anyone has created one, and tested it, but if someone has and could share with me I would be really excited!

If Ultrasn0w has not been updated yet, those who rely on Ultrasn0w may not get signal.

Ultrasn0w is not compatible with iOS 5. Just read that in another topic. And we cannot post links to CFWs here. It would be a copyright violation. The tool to make them was only released today. I expect them to crop up on the Internet soon.
