hi all, a quick hello with my first post!

so simply put "will greenpois0n 6.1 jailbreak my iPhone 4 / 4.3.1?"

in a bit more detail.. I'm already jailbroken on 4.2.1 but need to unlock for overseas use. with no unlock for BB 03.10.01 at the moment vodafone au says I have to update via iTunes and phone will be unlocked. iTunes is offering me 4.3.1.

there are some vids on YouTube which show greenpois0n jailbreak for 4.2.1/4.3.1 using greenpois0n 6.1.

so I just wanna confirm that JB will do the trick. I dont wanna update to 4.3.1 and be stuck with a standard phone, albeit unlocked.

greenpoison only works on 4.2.1. iTunes will not offer you 4.3.1 anymore either, if you try to update it will take you right to 5.0 if you let it. Have you tried just putting a different sim in and connecting to itunes to see if it will unlock it there? You dont always need to restore for the unlock to go through.

wow.. thanks for that. I'll give it a try.. I'm happy enough with everything, i just need to use the phone overseas, but stuck with horrid baseband.
