Which firmware for iPhone 3GS?

I've had a jailbroken iPhone 3GS on firmware 4.2.1 for a while now and noticed that Cydia has been acting up to a point where it's just broken. What is the latest iPhone 3GS firmware that can be jailbroken untethered?

4.3.3 would be the choice.

Yeah 4.3.3.....but really 4.2.1 is best I think...do yourself a favor...download and run iFaith...dump blobs from current running iOS(4.2.1) and use iFaith to build signed ipsw of 4.2.1 so u can restore to it later if needed...do this before attempting anything else!

Ok..but if u don't have blobs for 4.2.1 on cydia or local, u can't go back unless u do the iFaith thing....

I'll be using 4.3.3 until an untethered jailbreak for 5 comes out.
