Lately I've been having freeze up issues. Wasn't happening on initial jailbreak.
Symptoms:
Sometimes it won't do anything when I press the home button to unlock, just black screen. Sometimes it just cycles to apple icon start up from the springboard with no apps open. Often it will take a few cycles of start up to get to the unlock screen. One time while I was playing ipod function, I went to press the home button but got no response (black screen), but the ipod was still playing music. I had to press home & start buttons to initiate startup.

Things I've tried, but haven't worked:
Did a restore to my 4.1 ipsw, jailbroke again using redsn0w_win_0.9.6rc19. Restored from backup in iTunes, uninstalled any recent apps that might have coincided with the crashing issue. Loaded no optional Cydia apps. Only added APN Unlockit for cell data. Tried just using the "never" option in iphone sttings for "Auto Lock" This actually helps, it cuts down on the number of black screen problems, but doesn't completely prevent the fone from going to the apple icon. Cuts down the crashing from several times a day to maybe once a day. But I can't always be having the fone on with screen lit up, esp. when low on battery power.


Recent changes to the fone:
It stopped being able to accept a charge, the cable was fine, so I ordered and installed a new module for that, but messed up the video screen cable (it's really a crappy, brittle ribbon cable that breaks if u look at it sideways, had to replace twice so I've seen how it is). So ordered and installed a new video screen. Installed a new battery. All the new hardware seems to work fine.

I have 3g on 4.1
