Default I just want to go back to stock, seems impossible

Im going to try to explain this as clearly as possible in hopes of getting accurate help/feedback from those who know better.

I decided that I would get the IOS5 GM firmware and upgraded it accordingly. All went fine with the upgrade. I got the firmware and installed it using itunes version 10.5 Beta.

The problem started when I tried to JB IOS5. I used redsnow and ended up with a bricked phone for a few hours. I finally did the tether reboot and now I can access the applications etc but the phone has no service. As if it's not activated at all. I can't make a phone call, can't get any, no texts etc. Also, I don't have a restore option in Itunes, it's greyed out. I plugged it into my wife's mac and it says that i need to use itunes 10.5 or higher.

At this point i would be really happy just to go back to 4.3.5. Non JB'd, just a regular old iphone that works as it should. I've been trying my best to get this done tonight b/c I have to travel tomorrow and I need to have a properly operating phone. Any feedback would really be appreciated.

I've stayed away from ios5, but from what I read it mayjust be you need to upgrade to the newest ios5 beta/release which might be ios5 GM. I read that when new betas are released that phones on prior ones get deactivated.

This probably doesn't help you much, but only thing I've seen on the topic.
