How to Update to newest software . . .? o.O?

My Iphone 3gs is unlocked and jailbroken on . . 4.2.1 I believe ? ooor 4.0 , soo I am going to AT&T noow, and I want to be able to update to the newest firmware, I havent done any modding or anything in a long time either , I tried to "update" and got the 1015 error , Because I had to use a modded firmware or something . . . dont really remmeber -_-
Sooo any tips would be amazing ;D Thanks guys ,

Btw , Im on a Mac if that matters?

If that is what you have, then custom firmware of 4.3.3 restore is the only way.

Where exactly would I find that . . . And , will it still work for AT&T on 6.15. baseband?!?!

Yes , 6.15 bb will work on atnt , create the CFW under expert mode and choose not to activate iphone ,build it, restore to it and let your atnt activate. you need 4.3.3 shsh blob and run TSS server too cos apple is no longer signing this firmware.
You can't restore to stock 4.3.5 .

Alright . . . Im really bad at this -_- What would I use to do all that , what programs and whatnot . .

The link I gave you is for mac, the only difference is you need to download your blob onto Tiny umbrella and use TSS server to verify your blob if you have any.
I suggest you downgrade to 4.1, works better cos you have iPad bb, you may not be getting good signal at 4.3.3.

Waaait , so right now , my phone has the connect to itunes screen . .. what should I do to get away from that , maybe I wont worry about doing all this stuff considering I am going to AT&T in like . . . 10 mins -_- , soo how can I get it out of the picture with itunes & wire, I tried Recboot , didnt work -_- I puut it in DFU I think . ..

If you have installed 4.2.1 or higher and ended in recovery mode with error 1015, nothing can get you out. I don't know what fw is on your iphone.
If you restore to custom fw of 4.1, you should not get error 1015.
If you restore to stock 4.1, error1015 can be kick out with TU and you don't need shsh blob cos apple is signing it.
If you restore to cfw of 4.3.3, you need the blob and you may not get good signal.
Everything is laid out, you decide what you want to do.

So am I basically screwed ? I dont know what Firmware im on , its in Recovery , and my computer (Mac) thats the schools -_- I dont know the ADMIN pass to . . . sooo What do I do do you think?! Im -_- .. . . Should I just take it there and have them try to mess with it? or. . .?

Don't bother about custom fw.

HEY! , Thanks a lot man for all your help so far, buut , i have some problem , the At&T thing failed -_- , sooo I am doing the clean restore and gonna boot it out of recovery . HOPEFULLY all goes well , buut i was just wondering once Im on 4.1 how can I get past the insert sim screen . . :/ ,anyway?! I want my phone for tmmrow for music . . .

Yes, you can activate with atnt sim once you are at emergency screen.
