Having Trouble Downgrading from 4.2.10 Verizon iPhone 4

I'm having some trouble downgrading from 4.2.10 on my iphone 4 for verizon. I'm semi experienced with jail breaking but I'm no expert. My problem is though I wait to downgrade to 4.2.8 to do an untethered jail break since the 4.2.10 is tethered. Do I have to downgrade to an older iOS like maybe 4.2.6 and then upgrade manually to 4.2.8? Or should I be able to just downgrade to 4.2.8 from 4.2.10. I keep getting the 3194 and 1013 error when I tried to restore with an older iOS, but since I fixed them will I be able to downgrade now?

You don't have to downgrade to 4.2.6 before going to 4.2.8.
The only problem here is whether if you have 4.2.8 shsh blob saved for downgrade. This is your very first step before any downgrading.
Now my question is , do you have the required blob ?

Unfortunately no. Is there anyway I could download it from somewhere, or does it have to specifically be mine? If I can't downgrade, I'll probably just upgrade to iOS 5 and wait for an untethered jail break.
