Is it possible on an iDevice to save the SHSH blobs of the firmware versions you are currently on if they are not still accessible via download?
I'm on firmware 4.3.2 yet only have the SHSH blobs for 4.3.5+. I want to try 5.0 and have the IPSW, but want to be able to go back to where i was before.
The only way that I know of, is to use iFaith... Google that and read up..have to have working phone...it gets blobs off phone for currently running iOS on the phone...u can then use those iFaith blobs to build a signed ipsw of your current version...that's what I did for this replacement 3GS I have..it came with 4.2.1 on it after 4.3.2 was all ready out!! And I didn't want 4.3.x again!! havn't had to use it yet, but I've read people have been successful going back with it...iOS 5 isn't out quite yet..I would stay away from betas now...5 should be out on 10/12...good luck !
Well - finally figured out my issue. First, I apologize as I seem to be in the wrong forum.
I was going to try 5.0 GM on my iPad 2 - but had 4.3.2 on it but only shsh for 4.3.5+. After tons of searching, i realized that I can't even JB ipad 2 5.0gm now anyways. I had tried iFaith, but didn't support iPad 2.
Couldn't see the forest through the trees - Thanks!
