[HELP] jailbreak for iPhone 3G (05.15.04) with no problems

Ok so recently I jailbroke my iPhone 3G with sn0wbreeze many times, and unfortunately it didn't work properly, I had the following problems :

1.No SERVICE (most important)
2.No wallpaper
3.No battery status

I'm looking for a proper jailbreak (untethered) that will not make me any problems please.

Restore to stock firmware of 4.2.1 and check if you have signal with your official carrier.
Note if this phone is locked to a carrier, you haven't unlocked it yet to use with another carrier.
