Default Upgrading Iphone 4 1.59.00/4.0-Saving apps, etc.

I have an Iphone 4 with software version 4.0, firmware 1.59.00.

I want to save my jailbreak apps/settings, upgrade to the newest software, then re-jailbreak. What are the steps?

Jailbreak apps means Cracked apps, buy your apps and you will have no problem updating.

Your response didn't in any way answer my question. I said "jailbreak apps", which means apps I have gotten in the jailbreak store which were either free or purchased. I don't have any "cracked apps", nor do I even know what that means. I am looking to save the apps I have PAID for, save ringtones, etc that I have gotten from the jailbreak store, upgrade to the newest software, and re-jailbreak, and am looking for the steps to do so.

Alright,my apology, Pkgbackup can backup everything for you.
You need to know if you have any shsh blob. Run tiny umbrella, click save shsh to see if you have any blobs before you start any upgrade cos the latest is 4.3.5 and no untethered jailbreak.
