Need to unlock but still on 4.0.1 and 01.59.00
Want to get my iPhone 4 ready for ebay. I'm still on 4.0.1, baseband 01.59.00, and jailbroken. Have never bothered to update since I got it new when it 1st came out.
Want to have it unlocked so it sells better.
Should I leave as is and just unlock or restore to most current and jailbreak/unlock?
Whats most current firmware that can be unlocked now? 4.3.5?
Thanks, Shawn
Sorry for stupid question but I haven't kept up with the latest info.

That baseband is gold. Do not under any circumstance update to 4.3.5. I would just leave it where it is and jailbreak and unlock it there.

Have been jailbroken since day one so just need to unlock it. I should just get Ultrasnow on Cydia and unlock with that?

Oh crap, forgot I need to erase everything before I sell it. Can you still shift restore it in itunes and use 4.0.1 or is there a better way to wipe it clean?

No , you cannot just shift + restore to 4.0.1, error 3194 will pop up, on the front page of Cydia, what shsh blob do you see ?

Then those are the firmwares you can restore to. I suggest going to a 4.3.3 custom firmware made with pwnage tool or snowbreeze. Whatever you do DO NOT restore to 4.3.5 under any circumstances or you will lose that precious baseband you have there.

Thanks again, seems every time a new phone is released I need to play catchup!
