As I'm sure you have all read a thousand times I have a bricked 16gb 3gs...My wife bought it off a buy/sell board. Seller stated it was bricked but she figured I could fix it considering I've done it before. But alas its not the case this time. She bought it and didnt find out what firmware it has or if it was jailbroken or unlocked. I'm assuming it was. Im getting 1015 errors and when I try to bypass the host ip and try different firmwares I get 3194. I can put it in and out of DFU, But for the most part its on the screen with the itunes logo and usb cable. I have run out of ideas and im in desperate need of help, and possibly a new wife hahaha.
Alright, reason why you are getting error 1015 is because you have iPad bb.
What I want you to do is restore to stock 4.1 firmware.
Here we go :
Put iPhone into normal dfu mode
Let your hosts file pointed to apple server, since you have deleted gs.apple.com ,that is fine.
Error 1015 is inevitable to pop up.
Run tiny umbrella , use Exit recovery to kick it out.
now you are at emergency.
You can put an official sim to activate or run lime rain to hactivate and jailbreak for you at 4.1
You removed only gs.apple.com which is the server for Cydia. Don't do any editing there. run Tiny umbrella, adv tab uncheck set host file to Cydia and close TU, use TU only when you need to kick out error 1015.
So I did exactly as you said, got the 1015 again, so i closed itunes, launch tu, went to advance made sure it was unchecked, then exit recovery, the phone restarted and went back to the itunes logo with cable
So now, I've managed to get to the emergency call part. Ive put the proper sim card in, and it gives me the IMEI and ICCID. But it still shows the itunes and cable lol takin three steps forward two back.
Both... but I just connected it to Itunes and it booted me into the home screen!!!!! All I have to do now is jailbreak and unlock it, Thanks so much for your help I appreciate so much!
