Restore help
I can not restore to 4.3.3 on my iphone 4, I have shsh's saved and have managed to do it before, but for some reason this time I just can't get it to go through (error 1013). I have tried using cydia's server and tu tss server with no luck, fix recovery or exit recovery is doing nothing and i'm out of ideas, any help/ideas would be appreciated.

Well, error 20 can be fixed by restoring while you're in dfu mode.
To enter dfu mode do this:
Plug in your idevice
Hold down the power button for 3 seconds
Continue holding the power button but also hold down the home button for 10 seconds
Now release the power button but keep holding down the home until iTunes recognizes your device in recovery mode
You can most likely restore without the error now
I hope I've helped

You don't have to manually edit hosts file, use tiny umbrella to set it to apple server if you want to restore to 4.3.5

Are you able to restore to 4.3.5 and then starts from there to downgrade if you have the blob.
The main idea here is when restoring to 4.3.5, your itunes must verify with apple for this restore. So it looks like your computer is not getting the apple's server verification.
What about turning off firewall or antivirus
You know that you don't use TU when you are restoring to 4.3.5 , right ?Last edited by iYeow; 09-25-2011 at 01:23 PM.

Of course, I have been on this forum for two years!!
When I unticked "set hosts to Cydia" it seems that it hadn't altered the hosts file to re-point to apples servers. Which is why it wouldn't go to 4.3.5. I edited the file manually and went up to that firmware no problem.
But why did the error 1013 happen when I tried to restore to 4.3.3? The hosts was pointing at Cydia and I definitely have the shsh's saved. Even running the TSS server didn't make a difference.
Now I'm stuck at 4.3.5 with error 20, I'm gonna try and enter dfu manually and then shift-restore to 4.3.3,. I may leave that till tomorrow though, I have been at this for 7hrs!!

Did you install IOS 5 beta version prior to all these ?
Have you tried restoring to custom firmware of 4.3.3 using your 4.3.3 blob to verify on the tss server ? Give it a shot.

There is a feature in redsnow 0.9.9b1 to kick out error 1013, try that first.

no signal could be due to hactivation
Add this repo Cydia.pushfix.info and install reset carrier setting, take official sim out and reinsert backLast edited by iYeow; 09-26-2011 at 01:26 PM.

Let me recap, when you hit error 1013, you ran redsnow and hit fix recovery , then what happened.

Yeah, if you hactivate and you don't have the unlockable baseband, then you are not going to get any signal.
Have you tried restoring to an unactivated custom firmware of 4.3.3 ? Use Snowbreeze 2.7.3 > expert mode and uncheck activate iphone, build it .
Is your current baseband 04.10.xx
This is how i restore my iphone 4 if i am restoring to stock 4.3.3 again
