Forced Downgrade

I have iPhone 4 jailbroken on 4.3 - the screen got serverly damageed, but phone still works. Apple will give me a replacement for $199, but at v4.3.5. Is there anything thing I can do ahead of time with the damaged/jailbroken phone, to make it easier to downgrade the new phone to 4.3 so I can jailbreak it? TIA.

I was afraid of that. So to jailbreak the 3.5, I will have to do it tethered?
