Getting a new iPhone
Hey guys. New here, i'm after a little advice.
I have a jailbroken and unlocked iPhone 3G on 4.2.1 with baseband 06.15.00 and am just doing a bit of reseach to find out what I need to do when I upgrade my phone in October to an iPhone 4 (or 4GS/5 whatever it's gonna be).
I can sync with iTunes no problem without it deleting my apps and can use the iPhone like its not jailbroken.
When I get the new phone, is it simply a case of connecting the current iPhone 3G and backing it up (which it does automatically when I sync) and then restoring the back up to the new iPhone 4?
Thanks in advance

Yes, you can setup as backup restore

I take it I would have to re-download all the apps I wanted. Or as they are all stored in iTunes, would they all reinstall when I synced the new phone?
Do I jailbreak the new phone before or after I backup restore?Last edited by bigbadphil; 08-29-2011 at 04:35 PM.
