How to remove jailbreak on iphone 3gs

I have a Iphone 3gs which has a crack in the back at the power plug, Apple is sending me a new one Via UPS, I will need to send my old phone back into Apple.
How do I restore back to factory as I want to remove any jailbreak on this
iphone then reinstall on the new iphone .
My phone is a 3gs on version 4.1 (8B117)
Jailbroke with Pwnage with a mac

Thought I should mention phone is with fido here in Canada.

If u didnt load iPad bb, then u should just be able to do a DFU mode restore to current 4.1 stock...and it should be good to go, or even restore to latest FW....take heed however...what u could get in exchange from carrier may have tether only jb FW...IE 4.3.5....my previous 3GS I had updated to 4.3 from 4.2.1 and that made phone stuttery scrolling and launching apps! Horrible...very annoying! Updated to 4.3.1 when it came out hoping that would fix...it helped but very little. I hadsame issue as u with that crack..went to apple store and they ended up replacing it for me and that one came with 4.2.1 still on it! Yay! She was gonna update it and I told her to leave it alone! 4.2.1 is best on 3GS I always say..I keep trying to get feedback from folks running 4.3.3-5 just to see if the issue still exists...only have one response so far-negative...I jb'd w gp 6.1 cuz warranty was almost up. Been running great. Anyway, u could still possibly put 4.1 on the new one cuz apple is still signing for that one..or was...might want to check that..good luck!

I will restore to latest FW. new one will be here tomorrow. I'm hopping its on 4.1. I will wait and see. I had to exchange the phone as my warranty was over 2 days after I brought it in but they did not have any in there stock so had to order one.

Apple is currently signing 4.1 on 3G/3GS iPhones. If needed, you can restore and fully jailbreak it.
Don't forget to get your SHSH blobs (4.1, 4.3.5 & maybe more) with Tiny Umbrella

So can you tell me if I am receiving a new phone from Apple will it be locked with my provider or unlocked? or how can I find out. if anyone knows.
The new phone should be here within the next hour.

It depends upon your provider and your contract. Apple has the means to lock or unlock any phone.
The only way to know certain is call your provider.

the new iphone is on Version 4.3.3 (8J2)

Cool! You can jb that untethered...run TU and see what blobs it saves first...then if I were u, I'd download and run iFaith to dump current blobs off phone so u can use iFaith to build signed version of 4.3.3. So if something happens and u don't have TU blobs for 4.3.3, you can use that iFaith 4.3.3 to restore. I would do all this before u jb! Google iFaith and read up. Good luck!

@xboxbml I found many ways on internet in different forums.. I have 3GS running on iOS 4.1 & BB 05.14.02. Now when I tried to restore from backup than nothing happened, mean my 3GS is in same Jailbreak state. Some people said in comments that restore from backup doesn't work. So I tried restore without backup, than my iTunes tried to contact apple server, which means it will restore and update my 3GS, but I dnt want o update it. I just wanto restore it. Last time I tried it direct from my 3GS settings & it got stuck on Apple logo. I had to pay & got it in working condition.
So please suggest me. I have also saved my Blob via Tiny Umbrella.
