Can I have current itunes and jb ipod touch 3.1.3 with spirit?

Hello everyone I have a quick question, I never thought of it before because I stay up to date. Can I jailbreak an ipod touch 3.1.3 with spirit and the current itunes or do I have to revert to under itunes 9.2 like the spirit website says? Thank you very much!

You can use the current iTunes without problems.
The method used to jailbreak (spirit, redsn0w, sn0wbreeze, etc) does not matter.

IF you want to restore and jailbreak again ... use current jb'ing tools (like redsn0w)
