Software depends on the firmware.

It all depends on the firmware. Not the type of iPhone. Let's say your getting an iPhone 3GS with 4.3.3 then you can use either greenpoison or redsnow. It all depends on firmwares.

The best all-around jailbreaking utility is redsn0w. Good for authorized Apple carriers and SIMs and others.
For non-authorized carrier SIMs (and those w/iPad BB): PwnageTool and Sn0wbreeze create custom firmwares.
Jailbreakme is simple and easy ... for most 4.3 thru 4.3.3 (http://blog.iphone-dev.org/)Last edited by Mes; 08-18-2011 at 10:50 AM.
