Default iOS 5 beta and unlocked iPhone 4

    Hey guys,

I'd like to update my iPhone 4 (currently unlocked with Gevey Sim) to iOS 5 beta 5 (if possible) but i know about the baseband upgrading with it.
Do you guys know any method or programs to update to iOS 5 preventing baseband update? I don't care aout the beta version.. I just want iOS5 features.

    Besg regards, Fede

As of right now there is no safe way to do it, and probably wont be until sometime after 5.0 is released to the public.

There were beta snowbreeze versions for the first couple 5.0 betas I believe but none for beta 5 as far as I am aware.

apparently it works for Beta 3. What about updating to that one and then update via OTA update? Does "OTA update" upgrade baseband?

Not too sure about that to be honest. You may need SHSH for beta 3 if Apple has stopped signing that particular beta though.

You can update to iOS 5 beta 6 with sn0wbreeze v2.8b6, its a tetherd jailbreak and you will need iBooty v2.3. Also, keep in mind that you will need to download the latest itunes beta, i think it s the 10.5.0.90 version.
Your gevey sim will work hence the snowbreeze keeps your old baseband. I would suggest you turn on SIM pin to make your activation of the sim card after the jailbreak easier.
