4.3.3 restore?
So I have my 4.3.3 shsh blob saved with Cydia. I am currently on 4.0.1, 3Gs. Can I just jump to 4.3.3 or do I need to upgrade to 4.3.5 then downgrade to 4.3.3? My goal is to get to the best IOS that a JB/Unlock will allow since several apps want 4.2 or higher. I have the 4.3.3 restore downloaded but the shift-restore trick will not allow me to do this.
THANK YOU!! Tim

You would have an unlockable baseband as of now.
I would advice u to be on 4.2.1 if you have shsh blobs
Follow these steps
Download sn0wbreeze from here
Hotfile.com: One click file hosting: sn0wbreeze-v2.2.1.zip
Make a custom firmware in baseband preservation mode
Put phone in pwned dfu using redsn0w( even sn0wbreeze does it)
Open TU
Start TSS server ( provided TU shows your shsh)
shift restore in iTunes using the cfw u made using s0wbreeze
Download ultrasn0w from cydia.
Done !!
If you still wanna be on 4.3.3 replace sn0wbreeze 2.2.1 with this

Snowbreeze and Tiny Umbrella are computer programs. They are fairly simple to use.
Tiny Umbrella (with TSS Server running) tells iTunes its OK to restore an old firmware.
(Apple doesn't allow old firmware restores)
Sn0wbreeze creates a custom firmware that iTunes (shift/click select cfw) will use for the restore.
Sn0wbreeze also puts your device in a special DFU mode (pwnd-DFU) which is necessary to load a custom firmware.
Note: A custom firmware is required to keep your unlock and use a non-Apple authorized carrier SIM
Use xtacy's procedure. Also, detailed information is available from the links in my signature pane.

@Timco .... send a screen show of your error please?
Also, verify iOS and modem firmware versions.
BTW: I always use Expert Mode w/Sn0wbreeze. The baseband is always preserved w/SnowbreezeLast edited by Mes; 08-17-2011 at 07:41 PM.

Since you are already at this screen, build another activated cfw , use the pwned dfu and restore to this new cfw. Once restored , you should be at Homescreen.

Now run tiny umbrella, under adv tab check / uncheck : request shsh blob from cydia and click save shsh. Look under general your shsh blobs

You run TU and download shsh blob. You don't start tsp server yet. Tss server is like a mini server for firmware verification of your restore.
Once you have downloaded your 4.3.3 blob onto TU.
Highlight your device and start tss server, keep it running .
Put iPhone into dfu mode and restore to stock 4.3.3 .
Activate with your sim
Run jailbreakme 3.0 from safari on ur iPhone
Run redsnow just to install iPad bb for unlockLast edited by iYeow; 08-17-2011 at 10:35 PM.
