3GS 4.0.1 to 4.3.3...is this even possible?
I've noticed how slow my phone's been lately(and the numerous updates that have passed). At first, I was nervous about upgrading my already jailbroken+unlocked phone but now I've decided to bite the bullet.
'm going by the instructions listed over at the General Info & Jailbreaking Guides - for iPhone 3G, 3GS, and 4 thread. So correct me if I'm wrong.
I ran a tinyumbrella log & I think this is what to look for: "You have saved your iPhone3GS 4.3.3 (8J2) SHSH locally and the request was sent to CYDIA. This means that CYDIA DOES have your SHSH. "
I'm still good for the upgrade, right? I'd post the entire log, but it comes out as a huge wall of text that I'm sure no one wants to read.

No problem, if you want to preserve your unlockable baseband or you don't have a factory unlock, then you should restore to custom firmware of 4.3.3 from Snowbreeze 2.7.3 .

I did use the custom firmware made by Sn0wbreeze and used that for redsn0w(in order to get through the DFU phase). I'm thinking 4.3.3 is installed but now the phone won't recognize my T-Mobile SIM card. I'm not sure why, since I used Sn0wbreeze to create the new firmware so that it wouldn't change the baseband.
Since I'm stuck on the emergency call screen, how would I get it to accept my SIM card?

What is your baseband now ?
Oh, when building cfw, use expert mode and check activate iPhone , cook one again
And do the restore to hactivated cfw of 4.3.3
After the restore, you will be at home screen , update cydia and install ultrasnow to unlock for tmobile, you may have to turn off 3G to get signal.Last edited by iYeow; 08-04-2011 at 10:54 PM.

iYeow, I checked the box to enable hacktivation & I believe that worked. Thanks for your help! Now all I have to do is add all of my music again but that's no biggie.
xtacy, you mean she. I'm a girl.
