Can I jail break my Iphone 3gs with an existing error 1002

Hello,

I am new to this forum, I am having an Iphone 3gs with ATT contract, all of a sudden I started getting error 1002 when I try to restore my phone..I am not able to get into my phone...so can I jail break it even if I am having error 1002 and without having access into my phone. Please help ASAP...I took it to Apple store and they say it cant be fixed and I may have to replace it with another phone at $200. Please note: I have been getting this error since the phone got exposed to high temperature (Left it in my car for 2hrs)

You can't , it is hardware related.
