So i was reading what you guys are talking about , and ive been able to save SHSH 4.1 for months now since they (iPhone dev team) has made it possible to put the iPad baseband on ur iPhone,
And i think Apple will keep it open if not they would have millions of useless iPhone 3GS's and that would not work good for their marketing id think , (millions of 3GS useless in the trash?)
Either way since 4.1 there has been no more unlockabe iPhone baseband thats when they started using the iPad baseband And another thing 4.1 when u downgrade to it with iPAD baseband u still get the error and it gets stuck on the recovery loop , but with 4.1 all u gotta do is plug it in too tiny umbrella and exit recovery and it finishes the process , i can not say that is correct with the other iOS that are higher like 4.2.1
so with that said its always possible to downgrade jailbreak and unlock with 4.1 custom or stock firmware for people on iPad baseband e u can make a custom 4.1 with sn0wbreez and restore with itunes and BOOM u're done (of course u need to install ultrasn0w again via cydia) , make sure too use iREB before trying to install a custom firmware !
Hopefully Apple will be smart enough to keep this open i mean it has been months that they have left it open so im guessing its cos of the iPad baseband upgrade that gets u're iPhone stuck ,
(still wondering what tricks they will do with 5.0 will it still be the same? cos iDev has reported they changed the way they sign their SHSH now and once u upgrade u cant downgrade when the official version gets released that is , well be fun to see how apple plays this out)
yea i know right , like APPLE one of the top billion dollar corporations in the world is gonna make an error like leaving the port open on 4.1, they can see and know how many people r downgrading and they know exactly what they r doing , just seem kinda odd the iDev team NONE of them ever posted anything about this 4.1 hole within apple that they left ?! im guessing its cos they dont want it too be a big thing and then apple blocks it ?! man i dont know really wish i knew what was behide apples mad ways

Well, well, well...
Orby ran his RNG and this is what he found:
0x5A4B97AB6269 (3GS) -- no blobs available from cysts.saurik.com (74.208.10.249, "Cydia"); 4.1, 4.3.5 and 5.0b from gs-eg.apple.com (17.112.176.11, "Apple").
0x83C041BCCE12 (3GS) -- no blobs from Cydia; 4.1, 4.3.5, and 5.0b from Apple.
0xF3675F29E9 (3GS) -- no blobs from Cydia; 4.1, 4.3.5, and 5.0b from Apple.
The 3GS getting its signatures is no fluke--it's coming straight from Apple. I tested a few others...
0x7CDB9CE5C86B (iPT3G) -- no blobs from Cydia; 4.1, 4.3.5, and 5.0b from Apple.
0xF89172E9567D (iPad 1) -- no blobs from Cydia; 4.3.5 and 5.0b from Apple.
0x59A4EFBD6A23 (iPT4G) -- no blobs from Cydia; 4.3.5 and 5.0b from Apple.
0xBF9EC2312F0D (ATV2G) -- no blobs from Cydia; 4.3.3 (8F305) and 4.4b from Apple.
It's seriously looking like it's just an Apple boo-boo. In my opinion, Apple giving everybody who went with the iPad baseband a free out (via signing 4.1 so they can restore without re-jailbreaking or using FixRecovery) is just way too nice a gesture.Last edited by Orby; 07-31-2011 at 08:15 PM.

Apple doesnt make flukes or BooBoo's when it comes too signing firmware , they closed the 4.1 hole back when 4.2.1 was released they reopened 4.1 after everybody started to put iPAD baseband on there , they will not close it anytime soon i think , cos its already been MONTHS that they left it open and yes u r right it is a nice gesture but its just so they can keep their muti billion company looking good for the public ! its always about money thats all id like too say , and enjoy always being stuck on 4.1 LOL
you really think they dont already know ?!
come on a billion dollar company like apple doesn't know people r downgrading from their servers to 4.1 and they left it open and just forgot for months ?!?! hehehehe
Cute but they know what they r doing , they r doing what ever muti billion dollar company does , keeping their name looking good for their apple clients
(if they do shut it off before the release of 5.0 i would be shocked)Last edited by tarekelmalah; 08-01-2011 at 01:36 AM.
