Low memory (RAM) on iTouch 2g!

Above is a screenshot of my iPod with SBSettings open showing my memory info. It says that I only have 63 MB of memory in total! This seems like a really small number, when comparing to other devices where the memory is in the hundreds! Is there anything I can do about this?

It looks normal to me for an iPod Touch second gen. It is an older device after all.

Sell the 2G for like $70 then buy a used 3G from someone on CL? Think it'll only cost you a little bit out of pocket if you sell the 2G. Or just keep the 2G lol. The 4G is really awesome though...

Okay, get this: I restored my ipod after a theme went wrong and when I re-installed SBSettings, I found that I had 82 MB available memory!! However, later in the day it dropped to 77.... what's up with that?!?

It isn't always consistent. What you're looking at now seems to be good. There are Cydia items that can take up quite a bit of RAM like Winterboard and Dreamboard including themes. Reinstalling can sometimes free it up to but it won't always be consistent.
My iPhone 4 averages 320MB-350MB, it is sometimes in the 340's and a lot of times in the 320's so ... Yeah
can't tell ya why it does that
