I have a 3gS w/ os 4.1 and firmware 05.14.02 that is currently jailbroken with greenpoison. I want to upgrade to 4.3.3 and jailbreak again and possibly unlock. how do i upgrade to 4.3.3 w/o installing the new 4.3.4sw???

There are two ways . Since your BB is already not unlockable, you can restore to stock 4.3.3 ipsw as apple is still signing 4.3.3 or you may already have 4.3.3 shsh blob.
Download 4.3.3 ipsw and shift + restore to 4.3.3 in itunes.
If you have valid sim, activate your iphone , if not run.
Redsn0w RC18 to install Cydia.
Run redsn0w again to install ipad bb.
Note : you will lose your GPS function if you chose to unlock with Ipad bb ( your location services will not be accurate)
Unlock with Ultrasn0w .
OR
Restore to custom firmware of 4.3.3 from Snowbreeze 2.7.3 or PT 4.3.3.1
Run Redsn0w to update to ipad bb ( if unlock is absolutely needed )
