Recently jailbroken AT&T iPhone 4 on iOS 4.3.3 BRICKED on reboot!!!!!
(1)Got a brand-new 2 yr contract iPhone-4 (locked on AT&T) 3 weeks back.
(2)Had iOS 4.3.3 on my iPhone 4.
(3)Took backup on itunes 7 then jailbroke my iphone 4 using jailbreakme.com 2 weeks back.
(4)Yesterday, I powered down my phone and turned it back again (1st time after jailbreak), and phone became a brick with the apple logo!!!! SCARY :-o
(5)I had to do a restore using iTunes on my Win XP laptop! The whole process took 20 min
(6)Now phone is no longer Jail-broken! :-( and phone is no longer a Brick! :-)
P.S. I did NOT upgrade to iOS 4.3.4 at any point of time.
Why did this happen to my iPhone??
And can the experts/mods care to reply back please.....Last edited by raqnarock; 07-18-2011 at 08:42 AM. Reason: important addition to note

Nope, cant say thats happened at all to me. I have an I4 thats on 4.3.3 and jailbroken with jailbreakme 3.0 and is working just fine. Its possible something in your backup could have caused it but dont quote me on that. I usually always just start as a new device whenever I restore or update.
Why are you using iTunes 7???

How else to do a restore, if your iPhone becomes a brick (stuck at the apple logo for more than a hour) ?Why are you using iTunes 7???Last edited by raqnarock; 07-18-2011 at 08:15 AM.

I'm assuming you're using iTunes 7 because you're on XP seeing as iTunes 10.3 is out and I am sure has lots more fixes since iTunes 7.

07-18-2011, 08:40 AM #5I have itunes 10.3.1.5 on my Win-XP laptop. Anyways, I did not understand your reasoning: The connection between my iphone 4 reduced to a brick and the version of iTunes on my iPhone/primary laptop.I'm assuming you're using iTunes 7 because you're on XP seeing as iTunes 10.3 is out and I am sure has lots more fixes since iTunes 7
