jailbreakme & 4.2.1

3GS- Should i update to 4.3.3 or wait until they release the patch for 4.2.1?

Is there any reason NOT to update? I plan to unlock the phone someday hopefully.

I don't believe they plan on releasing any new jailbreakme for anything below 4.3.3. There really isn't any reason to not jailbreak except that some Cydia stuff aren't compatible with 4.3.3. If you've got an unlockable baseband right now, you can use Sn0wbreeze to preserve it and update to 4.3.3. If you have a baseband that is not unlockable at this time, there isn't a point to preserve it. Any future unlocks (if any) would highly likely be for whatever the newest/most current baseband is.
