Easy Jailbreak Question
Hi, I have had an iPod Touch for 2 years and have successfully jailbroken 2.2.1 and 3.x multiple times for myself and a few friends.
I recently bought an iPhone 4 (Unlocked), and was wondering if it will remain unlocked and my sim will continue to work after jailbreaking.
I'm not new to jailbreaking, I just haven't worked with any features that are exclusive to iPhone rather than iPod Touch. If that makes sense.
Anyway, my iPhone specs:
White iPhone 4
32gb
Bought it sealed from someone who showed a receipt from the online apple store, so I'm assuming this means it is factory unlocked.
Currently using Vodafone (AUS) sim card.
Running 4.3.3.
Model is MCxxxx... not sure if this matters, I can recall having trouble with MB/MC models in iPod Touch 2nd Gens a while back.
So yes, if I jailbreak &/or restore my iPhone, will it mess with my Sim or Unlock?
Also, what is the best method for jailbreaking my iPhone? (Windows Vista 32-Bit)
I'm leaning towards redsn0w, but I'd like to see other people's opinions.
Thanks in advance.

If your baseband is 4.10.xx and if you put a different sim & you do get service then it is factory unlocked.
You can jailbreak with redsn0w Rc 17.

Ahh k. In Settings > General > About I found 'Modem Firmware', which is as you said: 04.10.xx
I'm guessing this is my baseband... and it won't change or screw up or anything if I jailbreak?
Thanks for the reply
EDIT: I can't seem to find a download link for redsn0w rc17, will rc16 work? (That's the latest I can find)
Otherwise, could anyone provide a link?
EDIT 2: Nevermind! I just jailbroke at jailbreakme.com now that they have made iOS4.3.3 jailbreak-able.
