3GS/emergency mode/insert a valid sim
Hi,
I have been rumaging through the forums trying to find the most applicable thread but i have not had much luck.
a friend has tried to restore and upgrade a friends 3GS. i do not know what version to, but she said it downloaded the version which makes me think that it is the latest available from apple.
she tells me that during the process she encountered the error 1015.
and now says that it is stuck in emergency mode and says insert a valid sim.
can i please be pointed to the appropriate info to fix this or could someone please dot point how to fix?
i have found in some threads that it is possible to restore back to 3.1.3 without the need for SHSH, but i don't know if the baseband will allow.
for further information, this phone is not being jailbroken, she simply updated the software.
further to this, she bought the phone off ebay i believe and uses an optus simcard
cheers.Last edited by orsm6; 06-26-2011 at 06:23 PM.

Try kicking it out of recovery with Tiny Umbrella. Its possible that is has been updated using the 06.15.00 ipad baseband and therefore here is a guide that might help you with that.
