Jailbroken TMobile 3GS Stuck in Recovery Mode...HELP!!
Hi Everyone,
Hope someone here is nice enough to help. I have been going through countless tutorials and youtube videos trying to get a process that will help me fix my phone.
A friend of mine gave me this phone Iphone 3 gs Model no A1303 already jailbroken. When I put my SIM card in it was working perfectly. Unfortunately, when I opened ITunes 10.31.55 I clicked accept update.
Now my phone is in what I believe is recovery mode. It shows a picture ITunes Logo, USB Cable, and a slider for emergency calls. To complicate matters, I cannot simply restore the phone as the SIM card I have is T Mobile. I would buy a prepaid AT&T sim card and try going through the steps to jailbreak again if I need to but I am in Colombia (this whole mistake happened at 4 AM just as I was leaving for my trip).
Could Someone please tell me how I can get it up and running again? I really need my phone and I am a little bit technologically retarded. Any input or advice would be much appreciated.Last edited by boundlesstraveler; 06-24-2011 at 09:21 AM.

Try kicking it out of recovery using tiny umbrella or recboot and then jailbreaking it again. If the baseband has been updated then you'll have to use the ipad bb to use ultrasnow to unlock it.

Thank you so much for your help!
Is there a specific version of tiny umbrella or recboot I should use?

I believe the latest version should work. You'll find it on their website or anywhere on the net really.

I tried restoring the phone with tinyumbrella. It seemed to go through but when the phone reloaded it went back to the screen with the itunes sign, usb cable, emergency call option. It also shows a couple bars of service from t Mobile.
I also tried to exit recovery mode with tiny umbrella and nothing gets rid of that screen. Any more ideas?

You can try creating a custom fw using snowbreeze if using windows or pwnage tool if using a mac. There is an option to hactivate your device which is what you need since you are not on an official carrier.
