    Default Please help with jailbreaking

I'm sure a million people post about help, but if there's anyone out there than can help me i'd appreciate it.

I've done plenty of jail breaking, but my 3gs is being a pain.

I upgraded to the iPad baseband, using a custom firmware (4.3.3). But that firmware didn't install cydia (i'm trying to use t-mobile). And now when I try to put any other kind of firmware on a get various error messages and can;t do it. When i turn the phone on i only get the usb and itunes symbol. If anyone could help please

make sure that you are using redsn0w to put the phone into pwned dfu before the restore, also it would help if you could list the specific error numbers so we can get a better idea of what going on

you may be stuck in recovery, use the fix recovery appropriate for your firmware from here The Firmware Umbrella - TinyUmbrella

Try this > Build another custom firmware of 4.3.3 from Snowbreeze 2.7.3 without ipad bb and restore to it first. Then check your baseband, if no ipad baseband, update it with redsn0w RC17.

I was able to get a factory restore and i'm back to the 5.16.02 baseband. Can you point me to a tutorial to jailbreak + use t-mobile so i don't almost break my phone again? Thanks

Run Redsn0w RC17 in xp2 compatibility mode and just choose ipad baseband update to unlock with Ulrasn0w.

You know that choosing ipad bb may break your GPS function, right.

Unfortunately No, your current baseband has no unlock for it, so you have to choose between unlock or GPS function.

once updated you cannot downgrade the baseband as far as I know

    This is correct.

OP--make sure you run redsn0w twice: once with only "Install Cydia" checked, and then again with only "Install iPad baseband" checked, if you want to go that route. Your installs will likely go through more smoothly if you take it in two steps. Please be aware that you will need to only use custom firmware in the future to restore your iPhone if you go with the iPad baseband.
