No internet on jailbroken 3g/vodafone

Heya just purchased a jailbroken 3g iphone and have popped my vodafone sim inside.I can text,chat and use the wireless indoors but cannot connect to the internet away for home which is a pain in the a##.Any ideas please,it was jailbroken and has cydia and ultrasn0w installed.thanks xx

what is the baseband version?
also, you may need to configure apn for messages, etc

+1. APN is what you need to have set up for internet to work. You can simply Google for those APN settings, or try going to in Safari on your phone unlockit.co.nz to install an APN.
