    Default iPhone3,1_4.3.3_8J2_Restore?

I have iPhone 4 was it a mistake to use iPhone3,1_4.3.3_8J2_Restore instead of the older version 3,1_4.0_8A293_Restore

As long as you don't need to unlock you're fine. You can jailbreak 4.3.3 with redsn0w 0.9.6b16.

Somewhat confused here - this is the Verizon section and there is no 4.33 for Verizon.
Unlocking refers to Network unlock not unlock from standby.
