Help! No service after 4.3.3 jailbreak on 3gs

I just jailbreak my 3GS on 4.3.3 with sn0wbreeze. The phone was already officially unlocked, now I have no service and on baseband 05.15.04
What went wrong?

When building your Snowbreeze firmware, do not activate your cfw or restore to stock 4.3.3 and jailbreak with redsn0w RC15 or 16

Well I thought it was def factory unlocked but when I try putting another carrier sim in, again no service! Any suggestions?

Does your other sim have any service on it ?

If this sim doesn't have any service, then it will say no service.

But you should be able to get a new carrier setting under general > about.

I am from aus, so my Optus sim works but another carrier sim says no service

When you put the other carrier sim that says no service, does it show or update the carrier setting under setting > general > about.

Does this mean it is locked to Optus? Coz I was so sure it was factory unlocked

It is possible , it is locked to Optus. If you don't get a new carrier setting when you put in the other sim card, then you can only use Optus.
Usually an iphone bought under subsidized rate and you have a contract, it is locked.

One more way to test it out is to restore to stock firmware and use the other carrier sim to activate, if itunes says sim not supported, then it is carrier locked.
