No Service - iPhone 3G S - iOS 4.3.3 - unlock needed

Hi,

I have iPhone 3G S ,with old Bootrom.
Installed custom 4.3.3 firmware that was created with snowbreeze 2.7.1
It was hacktivated and i installed ultrasnow 1.2.3 right after the firmware update

now i dont have signal and it says no service. what can i do ??

What is your modem firmware or baseband ? Go to setting > general > about and check the BB.

Baseband = "Modem Firmware" all the way at the bottom.

Did you turn off 3G in the settings?

yes i did turn off 3g since that helped sometimes on 4.2.1 . what is the problem ?? i dont get it.

Go check your carrier setting if it is your carrier's name.

If iit is not, then go to manage under cydia, add this repo : cydia.pushfix.info and install carrier reset fix, take your sim out and put it back. Do all of the above with Ultrasn0w already installed.

i have tried installing carrier push fix before.
it didnt help, the only thing that changed was that the never changing "no service" changed into a never changing "searching".

when i go to carrier settings i can see all german networks and also the one my card is on (the one inserted) but as soon as i select it, it loads and then sort of tells me that i was droppped out of the net. due to "no connectivity" i assume. that would make sense.

T-Mobile signal never gets 3 bars and always drop sometime no signal.

but my bb is 05.12.01 and I don't want to upgrade it to ipad bb.

If you are getting 3 bars, you are unlocked, your baseband is working fine. If you have shsh blob for 3.1.3 to 4.0 , you can restore to stock firmware just to flash your baseband again.

I have posted a reply in your original thread. Since you have a factory unlocked, restore to stock 4.3.3 and jailbreak it with redsn0w RC 15 or 16 or while building your snowbreeze firmware, go to expert option and uncheck activate my iphone > let your sim card activate your iphone.

Then you cannot flash your unlockable baseband. Only stock firmware basebands of 4.0.2 or lower can be unlocked. Try restoring to another custom firmware again but not sure if it is going to help.

ill try that later. so you think if ill install the ipad baseband again and overInstall it on my current settings, it will help ?? Because I have installed the iPad baseband a couple of times.
The last time i had network access with this phone was a minute before i installed a hmmm , how can i say it , not so legal version of hipstamatic. After that the phone crashed and eversince i dont have a signal. no matter what i do.better said my girlfriend ^^

p.s.: i dont really think a crashed cracked app, can fux up the phone so bad, dont it ?

In the past, i had someone facing this problem and a reflash of ipad baseband fixed the problem but not necessary yours. Try it out and see if it helps.

I have installed the iPad baseband again and again and im still getting no signal. ive tried installing carrier fix, push fix, ultrasnow fixer everything. i still cant get a signal. it says searching and after that it is back to "no signal". Im really really disappointed to got left with a really expensive iPod touch. can someone please help me ?!?!
