Questions from a NEWB!
Okay, so I'm trying to get grounded on this whole jailbreak concept. Read the terms thread, but don't know where to begin.
I just purchased a 1st gen iPad and have an ATT iPhone 4 w/ 4.3.3.
Can someone please give me an idea of where to begin? I've never broken any of my iPhones previously, but have unlimited data and want to at least be able to share it with my new iPad.
If I can have a little guidance it would be much appreciated.
Let me apologize here if I've placed this in the wrong area.
Thanks.

are you wanting to jailbreak the phone or the ipad or both? also from what i've been reading AT&T will know if you are sharing the data (tethering) with the ipad to the phone and will send you an email or text telling you that you will have to purchase a separate tethering plan for the phone

In the end we're all just chalk lines on the concrete, drawn only to be washed away. For the time that I've been given, I am what I am.

Thank you for responding - I only wanted to use the phone for my unlimited data plan. I don't plan on using a huge amount, but don't want to have to pay for yet another data plan. Already have 2 data plans on mine and hubby's phones.
I'm not even sure if I can do anything right now, as having 4.3.3 appears to not have a jailbreak availability right now - I might have to be patient. Obviously not one of my strong points. I will mostly be using the iPad at home on my house wifi, but want the option to have it elsewhere.
Thoughts?

as long as you are using the data just on the phone and not tethering the ipad the phone then you will be fine, there are jailbreaks available for both devices on 4.3.3 so that shouldn't be a problem either, let me know and i can point you in the direction for jailbreaking them
