Restoring iphone from 4.1 to current firmware (4.3)

What steps do I need to do to restore my iphone 3gs. It is currently on 4.1 - do I just upgrade through itunes or use another method? After I restore I want to re-jailbreak it so what is the best way to do this.

Download 4.3.3 Ipsw from google search clarified firmware, update iTunes to the latest : shift + restore to 4.3.3 Ipsw and jailbreak with redsn0w RC16 or 17 in XP2 compatibility mode.
