how to jaibreak on 4.2.1 on ipod itself??
hi can anybody help me.
im trying to jailbreak my ipod on the device itself like on jailbreakme.com except jailobreakme.com wont jailbreak an ipod with 4.2.1 firmware. can anybody direct me to one which will work?

alright, do you want to update to 4.3.3 and do the jailbreak, it is easier

Yes, you can
This is what you do : google search for iclarified firmware and choose your 4.3.3 itouch 3gen firmware, download it onto your desktop
Update itunes to the latest.
Shift + update to Stock 4.3.3 ipsw
Once updated, download redsn0w RC16 and browse to stock 4.3.3 ipsw
Choose install cydia and follow the instructions.
You will get untethered jailbreak at 4.3.3
When you first open up cydia, click Yes to make my life easier.
You are all set.

No, you will need a computer in order to jailbreak your device (unless it is on firmware 4.0.1 or lower).
