iphone crashed

Hello,

I forgot to have my iphoned backed up prior to attempting to jailbreak.

The iphone is 4.2.1 which is why it is probably crashed.

The iphone does allow me about 1 minute when it boots up, before it crashes.

Is there anyway I can back up the data files?

Is there some sort of pause feature?

any ideas?

What jailbreak did you use ? You should be using Redsn0w 0.9.6RC8 to jailbreak.
Whether you did your backup first or not has nothing to do with your jailbreak.

Can you get to your springboard on your iphone.

So you mean your jailbreak failed and you havn't backup your data? If you restore iPhone, your data will be lost.

Sorry, I am not good enough to solve this problem. Wait for others. But I recommend a new tool called iTong to backup your data.

yes I can get to the spring board, but I only have about one minute before it crashes....

any suggestions on what to do?

It crashes into what ? Springboard means home screen.

sequence:
(1) apple screen
(2) green poison screen
(3) date time screen
---which then gives me access to the springboard...

then it crashes in whatever application I'm in. I get about a minute.

then cycles again.

You can only do a backup restore from the last time you did your backup. You may need to do a restore again.
Have you tried jailbreaking it with redsn0w RC8 ?

What is your idevice ?

If it is a 3g, you cannot use GP to jailbreak.
