Jailbreak IPhone baseband 04.10.01
Hi everybody!
I just bought an Iphone 4, and I have read a little about the Jailbreak issue, but I heard there isn't a solution for the baseband 04.10.01, but I want to know if is possible to Jailbreak only for load applications and leave the baseband without changes and working?
Thanks

create a custom 4.3.2 or 4.3.3 firmware with either pwnagetool (mac) or sn0wbreeze (pc) and make sure to select to activate it and restore to that, if using sn0wbreeze you will need to use redsn0w to enter into pwned dfu to update to the custom firmware, once done you will be jailbroken and activated so you can load apps and whatnot but will not be able to use it as a phone

In the end we're all just chalk lines on the concrete, drawn only to be washed away. For the time that I've been given, I am what I am.

Are you using a carrier other than AT&T? If not, you can jailbreak it and the baseband isn't an issue. It sounds like you want an unlock for another carrier, so I was just clarifying.

My IPhone is from the original carrier in Chile (Entel). I don't want to unlock for another carrier, only for load apps.
Thanks!

then you want a jailbreak not an unlock, use the info I gave you and you will be good to go, I misunderstood and thought you needed an unlock to use on unofficial carrier, since you are using official carrier you need to make sure that your custom firmware IS NOT activated, other than that the info I gave you in my first post is accurate, the phone will work just fine since you use official carrier

It's not the same. Just download a stock 4.3.3 fw and create a custom one with sn0wbreeze. Then shift+restore to it after. Be sure to put it into pwned dfu mode with redsn0w 0.9.6rc15 before trying to restore to the custom fw or you'll error out.

Why do u want restore to custom fw, just restore to stock fw of 4.3.3, the baseband is not going to change , activate with your sim , do your jailbreak with redsn0w rc15.
