Default Still haven't jailbroken my i4

So I wanted to post an update since I haven't been back on here in awhile. I got my i4 in March and was going to jailbreak it right away but didn't because I was afraid I'd screw it up. Well it's two months later and I still haven't jailbroken it yet! I would really like to but that fear is still there that I'll brick it. I have Green Poison downloaded on my laptop all ready to go. not sure when I'll do it but it's still on my mind a lot.

There really isn't anything to be afraid of. If it doesn't go right the first time, restore and do it again. Well, it's easier to say if you don't need to unlock. So do you need to unlock?

I don't even know what unlocking is. I thought jailbreaking it was unlocking it.

Unlocking is making the phone capable of using another carrier than what it is originally locked to. Jailbreaking does not unlock, it allows you to unlock via ultrasn0w

No you don't unlock to jailbreak. You jailbreak to unlock, you must be jailbroken to unlock but you don't need to unlock to be jailbroken.

You can jailbreak just fine without unlocking. You don't have to unlock I was just explaining to you what the difference between jailbreaking and unlocking is.

Oh ok thanks for the explanation. I don't want to change carriers so i don't see any reason to unlock.

Then you should be fine. If the jb doesn't go right you can always restore and they again.

I was weary the first time too. It's an expensive, working device and it puts your brain in fear mode. 7 months later I have a successful part time gig out of it and there is tons of info available to you. Don't fear it. Once you do it, you'll need to update us and start finding how to tweak it! It's so much better than the stock iPhone..... You won't regret it. Greenpois0n walks you right through it.
