fake capacity and baseband app - beware
I am a victim on this fake capacity and baseband. Met up the guy to buy from him a IP4 32gb, 01.59.00 baseband, iOS ver. 4.0.1. I really careful go to general/About of the phone a check. Yes indeed, it did show 29gb and BB at 01.59.00. Well, when I got home plug in the Itunes it reports 14gb and baseband show 03.10.01 and iOS is 4.2.1. How did that happened? but I totally got rip-off. The fone can not be unlock and I Paid based on the 32Gb unlocked ( $620)
so Be AWare.
I wonder in the future how to prevent from this happens again?

thats sad news...
next time when you buy an iphone at least ask for the serial, then you could check on apple.com the capacity of the device.
Don't know how you could check the basebandI don't give a damn about Chuck Norris, Spongebob can grill under water!

What was the serial number you were led to believe this device had? What serial number does it actually have? If it came with a box, which serial number does the box have?
Normally certain hardware-specific numbers (such as serial number, IMEI, storage size, etc.) are set in a special read-only portion of the iPhone's NAND storage, and iBoot reads them in at boot time (they're not stored in the filesystem).
This is the first case I've heard of a phone's serial number possibly changing without Apple's special tools to reset those numbers--and certainly the first time I've heard the capacity dropping without physically removing a chip...

When I look there is a appl call "loader" something can't remember cuz I wipe out the phone try to install a custom ios 4.2.1 but can not restore cuz it was retored official 4.2.1 before.
I am not really pay attention on serial number but I did check in the about 3 times it showed capacity 29gb, and firmware version at 01.59.00. I only know that I was cheated when got home and plugged into the Itunes. Anyone know what is that apps name? should raise flag to cydia to take off that app.
