Hacktivated iPhone 4
hey guys I have a hacktivated iPhone 4 and I have been trying to download Push Doctor to fix it, although on the website it shows that there are no more certificates for it left. What can I do?

Hm that's weird. I'm having a hard time finding it.
Try push doctor from this repo. I've had success with it before. Don't know about for the newer fw versions but it never hurts to try.
Welcome to NERV Repository
Add that repo
Pushfix repo isn't installing for me that's whyLast edited by i.Annie; 05-04-2011 at 09:57 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

Np. It might work for someone else it just isn't for me. It wouldn't hurt to try tho.
Is your push not working or is it YouTube that's your concern? I really wish I could find pushfix bc it has a new version out for 4.3.2

Y'all know that SAM will legitimately activate your iPhone and therefore will give you your own unique certificates for push and YouTube, right? Is there a reason that SAM isn't an option?
Download SAM at repo.bingner.com (free in Cydia), though you will need to know what carrier your iPhone is locked to for SAM to work correctly.

Yes. I just have such a horrible time with it
I see people with SAM issues all the time. But I suppose it's worth a go.

"Push Doctor is deprecated. Please install the SAM and SAMPrefs packages from repo.bingner.com"

I tried SAM but it requires and old version of Redsn0w that has a special deactivation feature and that version does not support iOS 4. What do you think I can do? Or do I not need Redsn0w for this process?

It seems kind of stuck with what it is with all that we have found out here.
I honestly really suggest that you get an official carrier's SIM of your device not just for now but also for future use. You wouldn't ever have to worry about hacktivation again.

ahh you see thats the problem. I had one, but my device was blocked behind a persons social security number. So even when I put my friends working AT&T sim from his iphone it was asking for the last 4 digits of a random guys social security in order to activate it ( i bought it from craigslist ). so you think im stuck as of this point?

Hm. That's unfortunate. Just a long shot but try a universal activation SIM or phonebook SIM.
I mean if SAM isn't working for you and you can't find Push Fix, you might just have to spend a little money to try out the SIMs.

Right but he said the phone asks for the previous owner's SS number when using an AT&T SIM to try to activate. Wouldn't this apply regardless of any AT&T SIM?

^Not familiar with the lock-out details. Maybe a different authorized-carriers SIM
I'ld give it a try if it were mine

yea annie youre right that won't work either because if a LEGITIMATE At&t sim asked for SSN, then im sure any other will.... I guess its time for me to try the notification-less life
!!!!! booooooo this sucks.
