Where are my apps? What is Springboard?
I jailbroke and installed Cydia. I can't find the apps I've downloaded from Cydia like "barrel". I've read over 20 forums and all I hear is that they're in my springboard. I have no idea what springboard is or where it is. I can't find it on Cydia and I can't find it on my iPhone. I'm sooo frustrated HELP!!! So far jailbreaking is not worth it to me. I was very happy with my iPhone before all this stuff.

Can you see Cydia? It's on your springboard. To access your springboard press the home button.

Cydia is it's own app on my home screen. The only thing related under Settings is "Activator" and "Winterboard". Still lost.

Your home screen is your springboard. I've never used barrel. Is there supposed to be an app that shows up on the homescreen? Because some Cydia installations don't show up on the springboard, they're either in settings or the tweak just works on its own. I'll have to look into what barrel is like.

Homescreen/springboard that's the place.
Open Cydia and check to see if the app in question is listed as installed
Oh maybe check page 2 of your springboard. Slide finger accros screen right to leftLast edited by Broomhead; 05-03-2011 at 05:36 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

Homereen = springboard. Thanks lol now I feel stupid. I went to Cydia and it isn't under my downloaded apps, but when i go to re-install it, it tells me that I've already installed.

Don't flame me for this.... But when was the last time you restarted your device?

Yep, tried that too.... Sorry to be a pain. I'm not tech savy, but it seams like this should be easier for the commoner.
OK so I'm not sure why this worked. But I kept re-installing it and after the 5th time, it went through the reboot cycle and worked. Now it's there and I can go on with my life!Last edited by New2Jailbreak; 05-03-2011 at 05:47 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

Yeah I just checked it out it should be in the settings.
Maybe reinstall? Like do an uninstall and install again rather than the reinstall option.
