I have just jailbroken iphone 4 ios 4.3.2 with sn0wbreeze and since then ican not receive or make phone calls. My network details appear to be screwed up.. can anybody help me please?
More details please. Are you an AT&T customer or official-carrier? If no, did you install ultrasn0w (via Cydia) to get the unlock? Check Settings/General/About for modem firmware version. 1.59.x is the only iphone 4 version ultrasn0w unlocks.
Vodafone (UK) sn0wbreeze did not tell me to use ultrasn0w and therefore i didn't. Modem firmware is not the same as your reply so probably not a good idea? I was running jailbroken ios 4.1 and decided to upgrade to 3.2.1 as there were jailbreaks available. First I tried redsn0w 0.9.6rc14 but that just kept giving me an error message and wouldn't work...what are my options?
Yeah its a contract phone and that is the original carrier. I have now managed to restore it back to 4.3.2 unjailbroken and all seems to be working fine so it was obviously something to do with the jailbreak. Before all this I was on ios4.1 and happily jailbroken. how about can I go back to 4.1 and rejailbreak? If so how would I go about it? Thanks for your help my friend.
^The latest redsn0w (rc14) jailbreaks (and installs Cydia) w/4.3.2 and is reported working well.
Using redsn0w rc14, run as administrator, browse to stock apple firmware 4.3.2, check install Cydia. Connect phone, follow redsn0w DFU instructions. Done
After it reboots jailbroken, install ultrasn0w to show full (more than 1 bar) network signal strength.
Hi. I restored back to 4.3.2 on itunes and tried redsn0w 0.9.6 rc14 for windows (vista) again. now it keeps freezing at the "EXPLOITING WITH LIMERAIN" stage. What am I doing wrong?
Are you using Win XP or Vista? In addition to 'Run As Administrator', right/click properties set to XP compability mode, and also 'affinity' to a single CPU.
