Iphone 3G no wifi?
I need help. I have an iphone 3g with greyed out no wifi. Any idea on a fix? Thanks

If a restore doesnt fix it then your wifi is shot, hardware issue.

YeH restore didnt work. Does it cost much to fix wifi hardware?

Had the same problem. Tried everything... reboot & restore. Didn't want to try the FREEZER or OVEN method.
Here's what I did (don't know if it was just luck):
1. With iPhone on, I removed my SIM card. (at this time, I cleaned the card - wipe the gold square.)
2. Turned off (not reboot) my iPhone (pressing both power button & home button) (w/o SIM card).
3. Inserted SIM card & turned on my phone & viola! the wi-fi is not greyed out anymore.
(If you have a jailbroken iPhone & uses MyWi, if this happens to you (no wi-fi), MyWi will not work -- it will just crash everytime you try to open the app/icon.)
