Backing up App data for update to 4.3
Since appBackup doesn't work does anyone have any other suggestions?
Correnct me if i'm wrong but isn't it generally a bad idea to restore from a jailbroken backup?

^AppBackup (via Cydia) will backup AppStore data. Works for me
Yes and no. If everything was working well before and a minor update (example: 4.1 -> 4.2.1) was done, then a restore from backup usually works w/o problems.

once again appbackup doesnt work.
Im pretty sure you get fragmentation of jailbroken stuff getting carried over to a non-jailbroken iOS.

^It works for me.
Of course you must have the data to restore. If you restore and set-up as a 'New Phone' then no data exists to restore from
