iPhone stuck on restore needed restart loop
i recently bought an iPhone 3gs that came with bb 6.15 and stock firmware 4.1
and 2 days ago it randomly lagged like hell while i was playing Ninjump.
i went to verify what happened and an alert popped sayingthat i needed to restore my iPhone because i couldnt make any more calls or receive any.
and it restarted maybe a minute after the dialog. After that, it just continues in a loop.
i tried restoring to a stock firmware 4.1 and jailbroke and unlock using redsn0w and ultrasn0w
it worked after around 15 restore tries and it went back to the same state right now
How can i resolve this problem?
SPECS:
iPhone 3GS (new bootrom) BB 6.15.00 (iPad) stock firmware 4.1
jailbroken using redsn0w 0.9.6 rc16 (win)
and unlocked using ultrasn0w 1.2.2
PS.
is it possible that it screwed up because of all my packages in cydia??

Sounds like a hardware issue to me, your radio/wireless chip may be fried.

I have seen one do that before. One second you have signal and are fine, the next you get a popup saying you need to restore and your baseband and IMEi are missing from settings.
Only thing I can think of that "may" help is reflashing the 6.15 baseband. Make a custom firmware that has that 6.15 baseband installed and try restoring to that. Its a long shot though.

snowbreeze can make a custom firmware for you, I believe it even has a option to add the 6.15 baseband now too.

I swear I saw the option in expert mode last time I used snowbreeze. Did you use the newest version (2.6)?

No way to downgrade baseband yet but as long as you have 4.1 SHSH you can always go back to 4.1.

okay thanks, i just have one last question
the other time when i got my iTunes to restore it to a perfectly working iPhone
at first i kept getting the 1013 error
and then the next day i did it and i suddenly got the 1604 error, and i was confused, soo i decided to restore one last time, and it restored with no errors..
now i still keep getting the 1013..
do you know what happened and if i could do it again?

Were you getting that error when restoring to a custom firmware that had the ipad baseband installed in it?

exactly..
like it says that there is no shsh
but could it be because of the restore needed problem?
if i dont need to preserve baseband, since ialready have the 6.15 i can revert back to stock 4.1 anytime right?
like without shsh blobsLast edited by bd4lyfe; 04-30-2011 at 10:35 AM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

No, without SHSH you will not be able to go back to 4.1.

If you restored to 4.1 then you have 4.1 SHSH.
