cydia crashes

on my jailbroken iPhone 3GS, os4.0 since last weeks cydia server crash, my cydia application does not open any more! click on cydia icon and after 3 seconds app closes again. how can I fix this so I can access cydia again?

you may want to upgrade, and re-jailbreak

If you have sbsettings try the fix usr directory permissions option. If not then ifile may help if you have it installed. Check the permissions on cydia.app.
