Default DFU Mode is not recognized

So I attempted to use redsn0w today, and for some reason, windows (7) see's my iPod (3G) as an "Unidentified Device" when in DFU mode, and neither iTunes or redsn0w can detect it. I've re-installed iTunes countless times and it doesn't seem to be doing anything. Any suggestions?

    Bumppity bump bump.

Hmm, that's weird. Pardon the delay in response.

Easiest solution would be to try on another computer you've got handy, preferably with another sync cable using a USB port directly on the computer's chassis...

If you don't have access to another computer: please open iTunes, hold down the CONTROL key, and click on File->About iTunes. Report your iPod Updater Library and Apple Mobile Device Driver version numbers (if they're there).
